May's Bakery was first established in 1914 by Scottish Baker
Alex & Ethel May in Pleasant Point. May's Bakery then
shifted to High Street in Timaru in the late 1920's followed by
a final move to its current location on Timaru's main street.
A third generation member of the family is still today, making
the orginal recipe of the Famous May's Mince Pies!
The pies are made to a traditional scottish recipe of a scalded
dough, which gives it it's unique flavour and look, that is
known all around New Zealand.

Attention Skiers!!!

You can still have your Mays Pie fix whilst enjoying
your favourate Winter activity at Ohau Ski Field.
Have a delicious Hot Mays Mince Pie, Chicken Satay
Pie, Vegetarian Pie or a Couple of Yummy Sausage
Rolls to warm you up inside, before heading back up
the Mountain.
